Class Action Settlement

Just got three checks as a result of the action versus Amex and there conversion charges a few years ago. Total of $180 - just in time for safari. I figure it will help with my bar bill at MM!

So if you were part of the settlement, you may be getting a bonus any day.

My TA also told me that we will have Pafuri to ourselves next week, pending any last minute bookings!

Matt, I'm glad you posted this. I had two envelopes in my mailbox today from LiPuma Class Action Settlement Fund, and I might have thrown them out had I not read your email.

I received $512 -- I don't remember filling out any paperwork, so I wonder how this was calculated.

Cool! I filled out paperwork some time ago and forgot all about it, so thanks. Haven't seen a check yet, but for an upcoming trip, it'll go towards...more wine! Even cooler that you're getting a camp to yourselves.

Michael

Not sure, I think they actually took the account information to come up with the totals, rather than expecting the individual to do the work. The Virgin / BA fuel surcharge is working the same way, assuming you were an FF with either.

I think there is a similar class action lawsuit with Visa. Settlements are still pending, though.

Thanks Matt - Sent my stuff off sometime ago. Good reminder, so if anything shows up in mailbox, I don't toss it.

Yes, thanks, Matt. I'll be watching for my check.

Just got my checks for $383USD. I filled out paperwork some time ago but forgot about it. I wonder how much in total was paid out and how much actually went to the cardholders?

Good question, bet the lawyers got 80% of it.

I think the lawyer's work off the same 30% margin as the TA's :D
