Cities under water
About a month ago I saw a news report about a discovery of a city under water, off the coast of Eqypt I think. I thought I would see much more information in the following weeks in magazines, etc. but haven't. Anyone have any other information or did I dream this.

Perhaps you were reading about the explorers (French, I think) that discovered the remains of what may have been the ancient lighthouse and ruins of Cleopatra and Anthony's palace, etc? It is near the mouth of the Nile in the Mediterranean off Alexandria, Egypt. Conde Nast Traveler ran an article with photos on the lighthouse and palace a year or so ago. I believe more ruins and statues, etc have been found this year. Our PBS station ran a program showing some of the problems they have had with weather and politics and some of the statues and artifacts they have brought to the surface. Fascinating.

There were several cities discovered a couple of weeks ago a few miles off of the coast of Alexandria. They are pretty much intact and it is believed they were destroyed at the same time by some cataclysmic occurance. The buildings had collapsed all in the same direction. It was said that they will remain in the ocean although one large headless statue was brought up and I believe a lot of coins.
