Chobe or Delta

I am planning a trip to S. Africa and Botswana in late Feb. We are going to Sabi for 3 days and to V. Falls, planning then to Chobe. The more I read about the Delta, the more I am worried I am missing something very important. If time was of the essence which would you choose.

Wow, thanks for the quick response. This board is wonderful. It looks like some time in the Delta is a must. The package I am looking at is by Goway (any opinions ??)and is for 7 days - 2 nts in V. Falls at VF Safari Lodge, overland to Chobe - 2 nts. Chobe Game Lodge, fly to Delta 2 nts. at either Camp Okavango or Xugano. I cannot find any infor anywhere on these last 2 places. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I'd advocate skipping Chobe entirely and spending four days in the Delta. Any way you can expand the safari portion to six days, so you can spend three days each in two camps? The Delta is a very diverse environment and there are many different areas to explore, from floodplains to permanent deep-water swamps to woodlands.

Cheers,
Julian
