CHEETAHS at Kwara.........

I received the following message today............which is absolutely wonderful!

**************

"The guides at Kwara this morning found a female cheetah with 5 cubs aged approximately 2 months.

This is the same female who had a litter of 4 two years ago (and reared all of them). She has not been seen in the area since August.

There are also the three brothers close by - that were also seen."

Jokes apart -Those 3 boys at Kwara are really very photogenic - and are Prime specimen!!!

safarimama,

With a little bit of luck, Leopard too..... between 2006 and early 2008, the star of the concession was the Kwara female leopard and her daughter. But, talking to one of their guides in October last year, I was to understand that the two were spending a lot of time in the neighboring concession. So, let's hope they come back soon! Their core territory was between the airstrip and the camps. They used to spend a lot of time around the camps trying to pick off the impala that hang about.

The 3 male cheetah are very photogenic and let's hope to find them. The other cheetah in the area are more nomadic, and so they could be more skittish. Bear in mind, Kwara has always had a lot of Lions around..... so, smart cheetah usually stay on their guard!

Rgds

Of course, leopard too and dogs. What can I say? However, a cheetah mom with 5 tiny cubs ... oh my!

Can any 3 male cheetahs be more photogenic than Honey's Cubs, now Honey's Boys? I saw them take down their first zebra at not quite 3 years old yet.

I'll report back what I find.
