We have been told that there are more modern minibus type transports to be found in El Jadida - we'll have to wait and see. Some on-the-spot negotiation may be needed at the taxi stand......maybe Feb. is a quiet time for taxis?

I do think it's always a better idea to negotiate in person and be ready to walk away if necessary for your purposes and budget, and have a back-up plan. I wish I could be there to share the ride!

The bus station is very near, just outside the medina wall, costs very little and I think is more comfortable than a grand taxi. Having used both, I'd choose the bus. Sorry don't remember which bus line it is but don't recall having a choice. Both modes stop about the half-way point at a roadside rest stop with lots of decent toilets and food to buy. In that regard they are the same. The only differences are price (bus wins hands down) and schedule (grand taxi goes whenever you like). I'd take the bus. And will next time, too.
