Casablanca
 
I am thinking of a trip to Casablanca sometime in the new year.Anyone with tips,advice etc?

Just Casablanca, or other places in Morocco as well? Casa is pretty short on tourist sites, and on good mid-range hotels. You might find my TR on Morocco helpful. It's at http://www.fodors.com/community/afri...can-medley.cfm

It's been a VERY long time since I was in Casablanca - about 20 years. So my memory is hazy. And yet from the same trip I remember clearly Fez and Marrakesh.

What I do recall is that I found Casablanca disappointing, unattractive, couldn't wait to get to somewhere more interesting...

Maybe that's unfair...

I spent half a day in Casablanca and that was enough. Focus more of your time in Fez and Marakkesh.
