help plz .. honeymoon - 8-10 days ... nov 25-dec5 ...

hey all ...
I have reading the posts on this website recently ... really like the way you guys come and help people ... I am hoping for some good help myself ....
me and my fiancee are in the process of planning our honeymoon .... our budget is around $4000 (max)..
8-10 days .... hoping for a nice relaxed 10 days ....
our must have's include:

- a nice hotel/villa/bungalow - spacious, balcony, pvt swimming pool , good service if possible
- we do not mind spending a major chunk of our money on stay ... but it should be worth it
- there should a some activities to do around ... don't wanna b stuck in a place where we can't get out to do something.... hopefully a mix of nature with nearby city life as well ..

we are planning to make it 2-3 places of 3-5 days each .... any suggestions would be welcome ....
please do keep in mind tht this is for a honeymoon ....

thanks a ton in advance

Hi there,

I think South Africa would probably be a good option. You can do a self-drive trip along the Garden Route which will be economical but very romantic.

If flying to Africa from USA, there goes the $4,000 for flights. Go to Europe. Or Las Vegas.

Where were you thinking to travel?

Heading to Africa end-Nov/early-Dec prices are lower than if later in Dec, but the $4K won't make it. As above, air alone can eat up more than half of that. Even Breezes Hotel on Zanzibar as mentioned doesn't come cheap.

Go to the Caribbean or Hawaii, where you can get lots of bang for your bucks.

Even $4K to South Africa... air will eat up most of that. For less than 10/days rather difficult to visit two countries, regardless where in Africa. Besides, if wanting to also include Mauritius or Seychelles, more airfare and prices on the SEZ do not come cheap.

Maybe just South Africa or Seychelles... check flights between India and either - JNB/Johannesburg or SEZ/Seychelles - then once you know what's available, flight times, connections and costs... you'll have a better idea of what's even doable.

Good luck!
