Carrier tour company

Has anyone used this company when travelling in Kenya? How reliable/helpful are they?

All comments gratefully received.

Hello,

Do you mean Carrier in the UK (www.carrier.co.uk)? If so, I've had some contact with them when planning my first trip to Africa, but I didn't end up using them. They are a very upmarket company who tend to use only top-end luxury camps and lodges.

The representative I spoke with answered my questions promptly, and came up with an itinerary which suited me well (though the price nearly gave me heart failure). They provide good service but charge a very high premium for doing so. I found that I could get my trip for a fraction of the price by doing my own bookings through independent operators.

Cheers,
Julian

Sorry, forgot to mention that Carrier are fully bonded in the UK and they have a very good reputation here -- along the lines of A&K or Cox and Kings. They're probably just not well-known in the US.

Cheers,
Julian

Many thanks for information.

Yes, they are expensive, although slightly less than others. Just wanted to be sure of professionalism for a new and unknown travel experience.
