Cape Town Guidebook

Wanted to do some research on Cape Town and the area -- has anyone used a really good guide book?

Thanks

Hate to plug the competition here, but I used Frommer's South Africa guidebook and it was very helpful.

I'm a fan of the Eyewitness series.

mpkp,

Have to agree with Kavey in that I think that the Eyewitness series by Dorling Kindersley outstrips them all.

Excellent breakdown of RELEVANT information. Well laid out. Good content and will leave you with a strong knowledge of my country when you depart from our shores.

Btw I used to be a fan of the Eyewitness series no matter what, however this has changed because we have since found that the Croatia Eyewitness travel guide was not good at all. Notwithstanding the above the South Africa travel guide is excellent one.

Hope this helps.

Very proudly part of the wonderful ((r)) nation of South Africa

There are two books devoted entirely to Cape Town, which provide a lot more info on CT than either Frommer's or Eyewitness, and they are Lonely Planet and Time Out.
