Just returned from Egypt during the confrontation with Palestines and Israel. We felt quite safe. Egyptians voice their opinions, but what they want is peace. It is their government encouraging the peace talks. Don't give up the opportunity to see this beautiful country. If in doubt check with the US Department for updates on travel for Americans abroad.
