What are the odds that anyone of the 32 signed up to do Egypt with OAT in April or May on this website.

We leave April 29 and taking the pre-trip to Alexandria.

Anyone else going to be our travelling buddies?

32! Thought OAT limits group size to 16. Ttwo groups combined? I'd inquire of AOT whether each group has their own guide, drivers, Egyptologists, or whatever... or whether you'll be one large group?

Sandi, they run them as two separate groups with two guides and two buses. OAT has their own Nile boat and it makes sense to put two groups on it, although they should disclose this up front. When I went on that trip in March 2002, they had 4 groups together, which upset some travelers. The Egyptian staff tried to accommodate us by having the buses leave 5 minutes apart, so as not to be on top of each other. OAT had moved the departure dates of a couple of groups (mine included) to do that, but were just trying to survive the travel turndown after 9/11.

Thanks Sharon. When I saw that "32" I had to wonder.

The boat OAT uses, used to belong to A&K until they upgraded.

The OAT boat holds 32.

They have two groups, each with their own guide. The cruise is only 4 nights and then we part company...

Guess no one on this trip of 32 reads Fodors.
