aerosvit airlines

My daughter is taking a Birthright trip to Israel and they are flying on aerosvit airline with one stop in Kiev then on to Ben Gurion airport. I have never heard of this airline. Any comments on safety, hospitality, or the rest? She is a very nervous flyer.

www.airlinequality.com/Forum/aerosvit.htm

reviews not great lots of delays cancellations

insuremytrip.com might be wise... or better select

one of many better carriers to Israel.

Good luck!

since your daughter is going on Birthright, the entire group will be traveling together - so you don't have to worry about any of the usual concerns of traveling on your own.

Issues such as delays, missed connections, etc will be handled by the trip organizers.

I haven't flown Aerosvit but a friend who is a travel agent says they do a lot of business between Israel and Russia - mostly because of their attractive pricing.

Aerosvit has regularly scheduled flights to the U.S. and to the EU. That means that they have to adhere to a relatively strict set of safety guidelines and practices. So, while they might be less convenient or punctual than other airlines, their aircraft are not likely to strike a glancing blow to hills or trees.
