Can anyone suggest a 4 star hotel in SHarm el Sheikh?

Hallo everyone! Could anyone help me to select a hotel in SHarm el Sheikh, Egypt. I am planning my trip with my husband in mid Dec. We need a 4 star hotel, I have read many negative reviewes about SHarm el Sheikh hotels, so, could anyone please suggest a hotel where we can spend 10 day vacations. We need a hotel near the sandy (not coral) beach
Thanks everyone for help
Best regards
Narine

The beaches are sandy - that I've seen, but then they are usually flanked by nicer 5* hotels there.
You might Google 4 star hotels in Sharm and see if you come up with any in the town (village) area of Naama Bay. There are one or two lower star hotels in the town, off the beach. I don't think you will find anything but 5* on the beach - good luck.

If you want "economical" and on a beach, move up the sea to Nuweiba. Dahab is nice too and less expensive, but their beaches are a bit rocky from what I recall.

Thanks for your support. I have contacted Tour Agencies and they offer Gaffy Resort and Helnan Marina hotels, What do you think about that?
Thanks in advance

I like the Helnan Marina a lot. Is it 4 star? I would have guessed it was a 5*. They do have some old rooms without balconies that maybe they sell cheaper than the nice ones with the balconies, but the location is ideal if you like to go out at night. It is right in Naama Bay.... and it's beach is nice and sandy, and it's right next to the marina in case you want to take a boat excursion to snorkel or dive.

There are nice 4* hotel in Sharm like:
- Cataract Hotel http://www.cataracthotels.com/
- Horizon Beach http://www.horizonsharm.com/

I would never pick a 4* hotel in Egypt. The quality is really not comparable to European/US standards.
Some good 5* hotels in the Sharma area are Magic Life Imperial (Nabq Bay), Mövenpick Resort & Casino (Naama Bay), Iberotel Palace (Ras Um El Sid).

There are some real jewels that are less than 5 star. You just have to ask around. As you say <<The quality is really not comparable to European/US standards.>> so why would you pay 5* prices for something that isn't really in your opinion 5*? You want to find something clean and well run. There are enough good hotels available certainly in the 4* and 5* ratings that meet those conditions to suit most budgets.

The 5 stars I mentioned do suit most budgets.
