Using Google To Find Images...

I am sure others probably already know this, but I, for one, just learned that on Google you can not only search for websites related to the input topic, but also for images.

For example, by going to Google and switching from the pre-selected "web", to "images", and then typing in South Luangwa, or whatever else you may be looking for, all images in Google's database will be displayed.

For South Luangwa alone, 1,480 images were returned:

http://images.google.com/images?q=So...rt=80&sa=N

For Moremi (Botswana), for example, 2,680 images are displayed:

http://images.google.com/images?hl=e...8&q=Moremi

This may be an excellent tool in assisting those who are in the planning stages of their next trip, especially if you are unfamiliar with an area and would like to see images. You can literally spend hours just going through the pictures.

I didn't even know about this until a fellow Fodorite that STD and I hosted for lunch last weekend sent me some images on another non-African recommended destination. I have got to get with the program! Don't know how I missed this before, but if I missed it, I am sure that many others did too.

That's great to know! I searched like mad last fall for maps of the parks and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Roccco,

Great tip. I didn't know this at all ( I probably should have ) but will definitely use this feature often. Thanks.
