Keith,

I have NOT been to Kenya, but I did just return from Botswana and Zim. The trip was quite non- touristy. Only in Moremi did we even see another safari vehicle. We did see Lots of Lion, Leopard (10 minutes off the plane- spent 4 hours with the first one!), zebra, giraffe impala, baboon etc. In Zim, we had the wonderful opportunity to see 3 black Rhino, and a pack of 20+ Wild Dogs. I chose Bots and Zim because I didn't want to sit in a car for my entire safari. We walked for hours daily. We spent time on foot with ele bulls, tracking lions, tracking and finding black rhino. Our Zim Guide (Nick Murray) even made a hide (okay so we helped a very little bit in collecting stuff), so we could spend time waiting at a dead ele carcass for the leopard we could hear nearby. We canoed down the Zambezi, and went boating on Lake Kariba. I personally don't relish the thought of sitting in a mini van around the animals with 10+ other mini vans in my pictures!! I was entirely bllown over with my trip (and I think my expectations were quite high to start with). I am now planning my next safari (preliminarily) for 2007. I will do the same route with a few changes, and most likely go to Zambia also (instead of South Africa this last trip). Best Hopes for your decision! Suzic
