Botswana in November - what to pack?

I'm going on my first safari in a few weeks and I'm confused on what to pack. How cold is it really going to get in the morning/evenings?

November is hot and often wet. Since you will be taking game drives in open vehicles it will also be windy. It's a good idea to have a termal under a shirt, long pants, a windbreaker (or rainslicker)*, socks, scarf, hat and even gloves.

* Many vehicles do have blankets and even rain slickers, but if you prefer to wear your own, bring it.

Once the vehicle stops and you're back at your camp or lodge, you can disgard all these layers and dress accordingly - shorts and t-shirt.

And do protect your camera equipent in ziplock bags (be careful of moisture buildup) or under your clothing.
