where to stay in Lusaka?

I'll have one night or possibly two on either end of my trip. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Jules Guest House. It is between the airport and downtown. Someone will fetch you on arrival and return you. The guest house is in a residential section and you'll need to call a cab to go shopping or to other locations around the city. The advantages are value, pleasant grounds (including a swimming pool), inclusive breakfast, and evening meal, if you wish. It is a simple place owned by an enterprising woman, Julia, whose husband owns at least one large car dealership and has other business interests. The guest house is part of a larger compound. Nothing fancy, but I prefer it to a hotel. ZZ

Sharon,

You are staying at the very best places in Lower Zambezi and South Luangwa! Don't ruin the overall experience by staying at some 2* guesthouse.

For $130 you can stay at the very comfortable Inter-Continental Hotel. You will be in a very nice hotel with amenities such as 24 hour room service, pay per view movies, cable TV, 24 hour internet access in the business center, etc. Plus, you will be provided with free transfers to and from the airport if you schedule properly. This, alone, is worth $40 - $50.

For the price, I found the Lusaka I/C Hotel to be one of the best values I have experienced in quite some time.
