Great looking itinerary, safarinut. I am getting hungry just seeing the Twelve Apostles mentioned. You will surely love eating the wonderful buffet breakfast each morning in the outdoor area of the restaurant overlooking the Atlantic.

What a wonderful homecoming. How often do you think you will be able to return "home" to Nelspruit?

I am just sorry that I will leave for Tanzania right before you return back to Calgary and that I will have to wait a month before reading your trip report.

Thanks Roccco

<<How often do you think you will be able to return "home" to Nelspruit?>>

Unfotunately not often enough! It is very difficult to find a suitable locum for a month at a time!

I will always regard Nelspruit and South Africa as my ''home''

I try to go at least once a year but skipped last year and met my mom and brother in London for a great week.

I am very much looking forward to my visit at the Twelve Apostles!

I am also going digital for this trip and bought the Sony F 828 Cyber-shot.I know it's probably crap but I need something very easy to use.

I will be taking notes from your trip report and would love a Feb 2007 trip to East Africa.I am just hoping that I don't fall in love with Mombo as this with certainly bankrupt me [-o< [-o<

Yikes!!!

Just as I post my final itinerary I see great pictures of Savuti Camp(thanks Carol Hille) and the itinerary changes again.

Well I've added two nights at Savuti Camp(with private vehicle).Wow,Mark has been great,I promised him this is final.O

Botswana portion:

Feb 6/7/8: 3 Nights Mombo(I had to start with Mombo in order to get the private vehicle for 3 days)

Feb 9/10: 2 Nights Savuti Camp(private vehicle)

Feb 11/12: 2 Nights at Jao.

Well,my birthday morning at Jao...I will still make it to Nelspruit for the party that evening!!\/ \/

He he... it's hard not to meddle once everything's set isn't it? There's always some new info that pops up!

Sounds GREAT and I'm sure it will be a WONDERFUL birthday trip!

Thanks Kavey,I can't wait!!

I called Mark at 08hoo(South African time)and booked Savute.I was torn between Savuti and Duba Plains for my third camp and just before going to bed phoned him again and changed Savuti for Duba Plains!!!

Well,this is absolutely final:

Feb 6/7/8: 3 nights Mombo

Feb 9/10: 2 nights Duba Plains

I will have a private vehicle for both of these camps.

Feb 11/12: 2 nights Jao.

Mark has really been great.

I am going to double my Ritalin dosage for the next two months

Nut

Read the latest reports from Wilderness Safaris on Mombo and Duba. Duba sounds very interesting indeed.

Matt

I think Mark will agree with you!!

Read those reports and can't wait!!

Duba just seems like a gamble. They lack diversity and if you don't see the lion/buff interaction you might be disappointed.Anyway,it's a gamble i'm willing to take[-o< [-o<

If my Botswana green season safari fails I still have the SSGR to count on ><

safarinut,

Africa just forces up to keep upping the dosage, looking for that perfect high. Go for it...plan this safari as if it were the last one you will ever do and make the most of it!
