Book Egypt tour now (Feb 2013) for November travel?

My wife and I are considering a visit to Egypt in November, it's been on her bucket list for many years. We have put together a custom itinerary and contacted an Egyptian tour agency who quoted what seems like a reasonable price.

Not being political pundits, we don’t know what the situation will be like in November. It's easy to envision all kinds of things going wrong by then. On the other hand, it could be a great time to visit without so many pesky tourists around. I see several big tour companies have dropped Egypt for the moment, but I don’t know if this is due to security concerns or a reaction to decreased demand.

The reason for deciding soon is that there are still plenty of frequent flyer seats available, using saver awards. These don’t last long.

Morocco is an alternative option under consideration for a Saharan visit.

Thoughts welcome. Thanks!
