bon voyage safari gift

I'd like to send a bon voyage safari gift to a married couple with a teeanager leaving for Tanzania and the beach in August. The couple have been on safari before.

The gift will have to be mailed. It is just a token, so $25 would be the max I'd spend.

They do a lot of other traveling too besides Africa.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Lynn, how about the safari journal you mentioned once before? (Mark Nolting's Safari Journal)
Or, any blank leather bound journal with a nice pen would be a nice idea!
(can you tell I want a trip report from them?)

Check out www.journalsunlimited.com. My cousin gave me the Travelers Journal for our upcoming Antarctic trip. It can be used for a single trip or for multiple trips.

Hi Lynn,
The journal idea sounds great or a english - swahili pocket sized book, photo album to fill after, an African music cd, an African themed book to pass around during the trip.
Wish I were them.

I like the idea of a nice leather-bound blank journal but then again I do keep a travel diary when I'm travelling - I don't know if your friends do.

If there's anyway you can check what they already have a good safari companion animal or birding guide might be good.

The album or frame to be filled on their return is a good idea too.

I'll share what I ended up doing.

I ordered them a bottle of wine, through their travel agent, to be delivered at one of their destinations.
