Blue Train

Is the Blue Train still running? I seem to recall that it was being refurbished. Is this correct? If so, when will it start running again?

The Blue Train is very much "alive" and running. The train has been refurbished but that was quite a while ago.

To see more please go to May I suggest that when you go to this page you also take a look at the rates page. I say this because in my opinion riding on the Blue Train is a great however very expensive experience.

Enjoy the ride if you do decide to travel across SA in this manner.

Very proudly part of the wonderful nation of South Africa

Thanks for the informative replies. I asked because Tauck Tours used to have this train as part of their South African tour, but this year they discontinued it.
