Big Cat Diary Live
For those of you who are interested, this year's installment of Big Cat Diary (Week) will be shown live over the internet. This really makes for some potentially fabulous game viewing. I know not everyone is fond of the presenters being stars but I think they do a good job and are passionate about what they do. In any event you will probably get to see Honey's cubs in action.
Enjoy the show! http://www.bbc.co.uk/bigcat/ Regards, Eric |
Thanks Eric for this post. I can't wait!
Did you see my post on Honey's cubs and watch the video of them taking down a zebra? Jonathan Scott and the BBC film crew missed it!!! |
Yes, I watched your video and it was fascinating. I have watched a pair of cheetahs (the steroid boys of Mombo fame) follow a herd of zebras and was told they wouldn't risk injury by going for a zebra...guess Honey's kids didn't read the textbook, huh?

I'm looking forward to the new series, and also the new format.
I think the live installments idea comes from SpringWatch, which Simon King has been working on for the last couple of years. Should be good to get an idea of what actually happens day to day, as normally, you can't easily tell how many days worth of footage are sequenced together for each episode! Will be interesting to see what the two new presenters are like. I never warmed to Saba very much, so I'm quite keen on seeing these two take her place. |
