Best lodges, camps Masai mara November

Hii, I have some business meetings in nov/ dec beginning in kenya. Would like to spend around 5/7 nights in Serengeti and the crater. Which camps and lodges would have the best sightings of the wildies, lions, leopards and cheetahs. Awaiting ur replies, thanks, M

Your heading says 'best lodges, camps Masai Mara November' but the details indicate interest in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

So which is it?

Know that if traveling (by road or air) between countries you will require another Visa for Tanzania (either USD$50 or $100, depending on passport) and a Yellow Fever inoculation to enter to/from/between countries.

Hey sorry for the mix up, sandi, thanks for pointing that out I think Serengeti should be better, also thinking of dropping the crater. What are your thoughts. Pls suggest best places to stay for a 6/7 night holiday, in Serengeti to maximise seeing the migration, huge prides of lions and other cats, if u feel the need to add more days, pls mention asap, thanks,M

Sorry, but as you clarified that it's the Serengeti that is of interest, disregard the link provided for Porini as those are camps in the Masai Mara.

If in the Serengeti, by end-Nov/early-Dec (assume you're talking '11) the herds can be anywhere from North to Central to South and even the Ndutu area. Once the herds move out of the Masai Mara and enter the Serengeti they can move in all directions. And, one-million plus animals don't all move at the same time to the same place.

If only the Serengeti, spend at minimum 2/nts any of these areas (3/nts each if possible) then best to fly in/out with guide/vehicle meeting you, especially if wanting to move between the areas mentioned. If driving from/to Arusha, you'd have to pass the Crater heading West or returning East, but know the drive - Arusha/Crater is 4.5/hrs plus another 2.5-3/hrs to Ndutu or Central... and longer still if to the North by about 4/hrs... or a full day.

Best you discuss with an outfitter on details of where, how, time needed, lodging options and costs. Good luck!
