Best hotel location cape town?

What is the best area in which to holiday in Cape Town? We want to be near the beach, restaurants, and nightlife.

Cheers.

Balenciaga,

I would suggest Camps Bay, based on your criteria of near the beach, restaurants & nightlife.

There are no mainstream hotels, but I'd suggest staying in a B&B, guest house or self-catering unit anyway as you'll get a better feel for South Africa from locals in such establishments. There are many, many restaurants all over Camps Bay, Cape Town and the Peninsula, so you'll be spoilt for choice! The Camps Bay beach is one of our most beautiful beaches, but also check out Llandudno beach, Hout Bay beach, Noordhoek beach and Muizenberg beach. The water is Cape Town is really cold, but gets slightly warmer to the False Bay side.

The best nightlife is probably in the city centre, depending on what you are into doing... there are clubs all over the place, but Camps Bay is very central for that too.

Check out the following places to stay:

Le Gouverneur Guest House - http://www.legouverneur.co.za

Bloomberg apartments - http://www.treasureafrica.com/bloombergcampsbay

Depending on the number of people, it may be worth your while to go for an apartment, but if only two people, go for B&B!

Have a great time, and keep on asking the locals or other travelers for insife info!
