Benguerra island lodge

Has anyone stayed at the Benguerra Island Lodge on the coast of Mozambique? We're considering booking it or Mauritius for 7 days following a safari. Very interested in any comments. Thanks

This was a very popular destination for people in Zimbabwe for many years. I believe you fly to Vilanculos and then boat across. There is very little on the island except beach and fishing. Mauritius is different, much more of a tourist destination though retaining so much charm. It is a mixture of French, Indian and Chinese culture, quite an experience.
They are very different locations so you need to decide of you want desolate/remote or a larger more 'vibrant' place. If you plan on Mauritius do try and get a condo/apartment up at Grande Baie, so much cheaper than hotels.
