Beirut Trip Report!
I just spent the weekend in Beirut, Lebanon, and wanted to share about my experience. It was a great city, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.
The city is famous for its culinary and nightlife scenes, and I found both to be every bit as good as I had heard. I had great meals at places like Tawlet, and went out in the famous nightlife area of Gemmayze. I also took a walking tour one afternoon, and learned a lot about the city's history and culture. It was a great way to see Beirut, as a lot of the highlights aren't in the most obvious places. The city center is small enough to walk around, and the area along The Corniche is a must. I wrote a couple of blog posts about the trip if you want to read more and see photos: http://www.aladyinlondon.com/2012/03...nightlife.html http://www.aladyinlondon.com/2012/03...r-lebanon.html Happy travels! |
Thanks for posting. We don't often hear about Beirut here.

Thanks Femi. I agree that Beirut isn't talked about enough as a travel destination. It's such a great place, though. Hopefully others will discover it!

I'm heading there during a trip to Jordan & Lebanon in a few week's time. Very excited to experience the eclectic mix of cultures and identities in Beirut. Staying at Le Gray, which i've read good things about. I'll be adding my reviews...www.ani-shah.com
