Back from Tanzania and Kenya (2afrika)

This is not a trip report (dont worry that will follow - possibly website with photos if we get really organized) but we did want to provide some quick feedback to anyone keeping track of who was going where, when, who was wondering what had happened to us!

We are back from our safari in Tanzania and Kenya with 2afrika (Wangiko safari) and had a wonderful, incredible time. Arrangements were excellent, Predators safari (Tanzania) with guides Muro and Godfrey and Naked Wilderness Afrika (Kenya) with guide Peter (formerly with Vintage Africa) did a great job, everything went smoothly and overall the whole experience was infinitely more than we had dared to hope.

As an aside, both Kenya and Tanzania felt very safe - lots of security checks at the airport as well as at hotels, which we didnt mind at all, but all seemed quiet.

Thanks very very much to all of you who have been so helpful with advice and suggestions for our first trip to Africa. Your contributions were a big part of making this trip so successful.

nkh, looking forward to seeing your post. Godfrey might have been the same guide we had last June.

Hey you two...

Deb here, your fellow traveller in Tanzania.

Glad that all went well in Kenya as well as Tanzania. Looking forward to seeing your photos on-line. Got some decent ones of the lilac-breasted roller.

Hi Deb!

Sent you an e-mail today - let me know if you dont get it. Great to know you got some good roller pictures - we have hopes also since we had a close-up view in Kenya as well. Any truly extraordinary photos we will send you a copy (e.g. those lions).

Hi Dick!

I expect that Godfrey was indeed the same guide you had (same company so good chance). We were in the van with Muro (group of 4) and Deb and 2 others in the van with Godfrey. The 2 guides worked as a team and between them made some really amazing "spots" - great memories for us, certainly. As I recall, you had a similarly excellent experience.

Wonderful, and with only 3 or 4 in the vehicle--plenty of elbow room. Anxious to hear more.

Thanks for the feedback! I've booked with 2Afrika for September and it was nice to see this.

Glad you had a good time and look forward to a fuller report.
