Back from Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise

The M/S Oberoi Philae has seen better days, especially the bathroom and the cabin, but it was clean and is considered very good compared to the other Nile cruisers. The ship was not even half full in mid-September, which was nice. Beds were too soft, but matresses were immediately changed after complaining. The food was overall fine, there was always something good to eat (mostly buffet style). The guides are considered the best, but from listening into other guides' explanations I would not know, why our guide was better than others. All cabins have sliding glass doors and little balconies outside, where you can relax on a chair. I have seen other ships, which had a balcony, but these were so small, that they offered standing room only. Storage space was scarce, service was good.

Thanks for the review. We will be on the M/S Oberoi Philae in March. I really like the idea of the balconies!
