Best place to stay - Livingstone

We want to be in a lodge on the river. What do you suggest? Moderately priced would be nice, but we would splurge.

Sussi & Chuma has a great spot on the river, but it is very much hit and miss. There have been good reports and bad reports, and our stay was sort of in between I think. For more details, do a search on the board.

We stayed at the Zambezi Sun. I believe it's a 3-star. Rooms were nice and very clean if not overly large. Pool area was beautiful. Location, a 5 minute walk to the falls, was perfect.

The Zambezi Sun is a good choice. althom1122 did you get a chance to have drinks on the Royal Livingstone's deck by the river?

YES! We did have drinks (Amarullo [sp?] for me!) on the Royal Livingstone's deck. It was fabulous. The Defense Attache from Lusaka had joined us (we were a tour group with a government-sponsored master's degree program) and it was a wonderful evening. And the atmosphere there is amazing. On the way back to our rooms, there were a number of zebras at the foot of the stairways to the rooms!
