ATM query
Can anyone tell me when using an AATM in Egypt, what denomination notes pop out??
In Australia, they give you a choice of $AUD50's or $20's. Thanks... |
The Currency will be EGP and it will NOT give you a choice. It will mostly be in 100's and 50's, but obvioulsy if you choose to take out 170LE you would get a 20 in there too. I believe it will give you the most efficient (for it) money it can.
If you want change you get it elsewhere - ie grocery stores, gas stations, or any merchant you can get it from. Remember 20AUS$ are the same value as 100EGP, (today it is LE101.95) so if you think about it that way, if you get anything less than a 100LE note, you are getting smaller money here than in OZ. |
thankyou CC.. thats exactly what I wanted to know.
I was just letting you know what we get here in Australia so people knew exactly what I was wanting to know. CC.. at least the Aussie to Egyptian currence is nice and easy to work out... 1 to 5. Easy to do a quick calculation in your head as you buy something.. |
Welcome - No problem :)

It is a wonderful site-you can print up both ways & cut them down to fit in a wallet. Just a quick glance and you see waht things are. Its getting closer-Chris |
Hi Chris... thanks for that. I was planning to type up my own version of this.. now I don't.
The Egyptian transactions are easy for me as I said... I divide the egyptian price by 5 to give me the Aussie equivalent.. give or take a few cents either side. I am happy with that approx. LE100 = AUD$20 I will definately need that currency convertor for other countries during my trip... such as Malasyain Ringgits. Thank you. |
