ATL TO JNB - Economy..any recent experiences?

I know! Sorry! I didn't mean to jinx you or anything! Do you know if your gang planned it this way because it was cheaper? Just curious as I make plans for next year...

I am back a week now following 4 flights: Hunda/Maun/Johannesburg/Atlanta/Newark.
It is true; it is a long, long trip. I used Restoril (Temazapan) after dinner and managed to have a good sleep. I think the seats on the long flight were prevented from going too far back, so that was a plus. Also, the sound system and earphones were exceptionally good for the movies. My seat was just a little too far away from the window to be able to lean against it. Just have a good little neck pillow that you can blow up.
A tube of Boroleum which I brought for dry nasal passages was helpful on the plane also.

It was worth it because I had such a fabulous trip. Worrying about the long flight is not to your advantage; just bite the bullet.

By the way, the leg room between seats on my Atlanta/Newark was awsome. If only......
