Arusha National Park - Day Trip Operators?

Going to Tanzania on a guided tour this summer. Small group of 4 adults. We have a free day before the tour starts and would like to do a vehicle safari of Arusha NP. Would very much appreciate any first-hand recommendations on a day trip safari operator that would include transportation to and from hotel in Arusha. We have enjoyed reading the travel forums and trip reports and thank you in advance for your input.
Sincerely,
BarbJohn

Is your entire trip a 'guided GROUP safari' and the 4 in your party are participating with others? If so, who is this group/tour operator?

Or are you 4/pax on a 'PRIVATE' safari?

If the latter, your tour operator can arrange a daytrip to Arusha NP and hotel. If the former, find out who their land operator is... contact them direct and ask for them to arrange this daytrip.

I agree, have your safari provider arrange the day in Arusha using their established contacts. The canoe part of my day in Arusha was conducted by Wayo Africa, formerly Green Footprint. Wayo Africa does different activities in Arusha. You could contact them.

The canoeing was a highlight. You can walk too. Take a packed lunch and you can do it all, including a tradtional safari searching for the colobus monkeys and visiting the lakes for flamingos.

The tour company is Globus. We asked and they don't assist with day trips.

The hotel says they can arrange but we have no idea of who or what they would provide. We are trying to set up the day trip before our June arrival in Africa with a company we can research and feel comfortable with.

Thank you for your help

In 2006--long time ago, I know--we used Green Footprints (now Wayo Africa) and had a fantastic day.
