Are SAA international customers being placed on other airlines?
 

We are leaving in August (so I hope this all to be moot by then....) from Washington Dulles to JNB on SAA. We bought our tickets on Priceline (and purchased the Priceline flight insurance policy). Are passengers just stuck at home or are they being placed on other airlines? Thanks!

I will note that the insurance policy excludes strikes from coverage so we will be totally out of pocket it appears.

They were hopeful of getting things sorted this week, so given a week or so to catch up, you should be okay - fingers crossed.

Hopefully everything will be settled by the end of this week. Yes, I heard on the news that SAA tries to place passengers on other airlines as far as possible.
