The baggage restrictions are confusing.
33 lbs. total check thru and carry on combined.
But what size carry on can go in the cabin?

Yes, all the time. Your duffle (what you pack clothes in) goes under the plane. Your carry-on/camera bag/day bag goes in a small bin at the back of the plane with everyone else’s (so don’t put anything fragile in there or watch it if you do, everyone just piles their stuff on). There is zero room at your seat/under your seat for anything. It’s the tightest legroom I’ve ever seen (I’m 5’9”). I usually take my wallet and phone with me to my seat so I can listen to my tunes and take photos on the flight.

Piling on here but I just returned from my first (and definitely not my last if I can figure out how to afford another one) and agree that my standard backpack with the camera bag inside barely fit under the seat in front of me on the Twin Otter planes but oddly enough, on my last flight out of Mara North, I was in a plane that had tiny overseat lockers and my backpack fit just fine. But OMG, so excited for you to experience it and hear all about your trip report!
