MissGreen - if you type "Lady Egypt" into the Search box, you will get several threads about Lady Egypt.

You betcha!! I went in December 2007. They have tours with different levels of comfort. I took a budget tour and I thought the accomodations were not fancy but quite satisfactory. Our tour was great and I would do it again. At the Valley of the Kings our guide earned his tip when he convinced Dr. Hawass to come out and meet our group. Anyone who has ever watched a documentary about Egypt will know who that is.

If you click my name you will find my trip report.

Scotsgirl. I plan to go on a private tour and am thinking LadyEgyt. VERY reasonable price compared to the $5000 per person tours available through Scenictours (booked in Australia).

MissGreen, I will be heading out in three weeks on a solo trip planned by Mr. Kamel at Lady Egypt. I am very satisfied with all the arrangements that have been made for me and will be sure to let you know how it turns out!

scotsgirl, and that doesn't include the airfare to get there from Australia. So expensive compared to what I found, and they all stay at the same 5 star deluxe hotels (mena house, cario marriott, etc.)

scotsgirl, I didn't get to see his famous hat. But that's OK, I got a hug and a picture of myself with him. He seems to enjoy his rock star status.

How neat P_M.

When my older son's class took it's trip to Luxor, he got to meet Ken Weeks, who is excavating KV 5. Even got his autograph which is in his scrapbook of the trip.

On DS#2's trip, he met and got the autograph of Louisiana Representative William Jefferson (my son was the only one from Louisiana). Given that Jefferson will be in jail soon now makes it a little more interesting keepsake!

Isn't it funny how the most unexpected chance meetings can be a highlight of the trip? Once I caught a glimpse of Queen Elizabeth from just a few feet away. Her limo was pulling into Buckingham Palace and it was my luck that she popped her little gray head out of the car as I was passing by. I don't know what she was looking at but I would like to believe she was trying to get my attention.

Our family of four visited Egypt and Jordan with LadyEgypt in late March/early April and it was wonderful Our guides were excellent and the arrangements (transfers, drivers, entrances) went off without a hitch. I highly recommend this agency and do feel that we saw a lot for the money. Very pleased.
