Capetown Anniversary Dinner
My husband and I will be in Capetown to celebrate our 40th next month. What are your restaurant suggestions for foodies who enjoy good wine? This will be between Namibia/Botswana safaris so our apparel will be limited.

My car question related to kurt_a's suggestion of Constantia -

In a beautiful setting in a suburb of Cape Town - a vineyard hotel with three restaurants. One the them (La Colombe) was number 26 on the 2010 San Pellegrino Restaurant List.
Google says it's about a 20 minute drive from the Mount Nelson Hotel.
We had lunch there in February (at the bistro River Cafe) and it was lovely.

Right in the waterfront is BAIA - sea food, great wine but also other fare.
If you have a car or like to hire a limo (stylish particularly for that occasion!) spend you day in the winelands - Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl) and book a table at Le Quartier Francais' "tasting room" in Franschoek and enjoy a dinner prepared by one of the 50 best chefs of the world.
Late return to the Cape town hotel and a bottle of RUBICON in the room for nightcap ;-)
For me a perfect day and great memories...

We are pondering all your great suggestions. We'll be staying and dining at Le Quartier Francais two nights later--multiple celebrations are not out of the question.
I began using this forum last year as research before our first safari to Kenya and Tanzania and appreciate and repect all ideas especially the Rubicon nightcap idea!
