Airfare to Kenya
Hi We are flying out of Chicago to JRO and then out of NBO back to ORD Leaving September 8, returning Sept. 22. I have an airfare for $1594 each. Is that a good price or should I wait for a lower price. Thanks

I have been looking at prices to fly from SFO to NBO, so similiar. The lowest that I had found was around $1700 and I had asked here if this was a good price and was told YES....so I would say $1600 is a good price from Chicago. I ended up getting tickets for $1900 because I took the non stop flights from SFO to Amstedam and then to NBO.
What are you doing, we will be going at the same time. I leave SFO on Sept 5th and arrive in NBO on the 8th, leaving NBO on the 19th, leaving Amsterdam on the 21st.

Purple,
That looks like a good price to me. Another option would be to find air to London or Amsterdam and then look for a direct flight from one of these places to Kiliminjaro.
If I remember correctly, I am paying $1000 per person for an Amsterdam - Kiliminjaro, Zanzibar - Amsterdam flight. I am using frequent flier miles from Los Angeles to Amsterdam.
Personally, I would book it for $1594, if it is still available (I just checked those dates on Travelocity and I was quoted about $1750). Better to get this out of the way so you don't have it hanging over your head. Not worth the very minimal savings you may or may not realize by waiting.

nhulberg: I booked it through Orbitz, where I usually have good luck. I did see this same flight for $1718 about a month earlier but didn't know that it was a good deal so I waited. What you have to do on orbitz is this:
Click on the above link: Flights...then click on multi flights option. Into this I then put sfo/ams...ams/nbo...returning nbo/ams...ams sfo. You then need to scroll down and choose the 4 flights that you want, not one of the packages with the 4 flights...you choose "this flight" on the right side...until you have selected the 4 flights that are non stops, it then reconfigures a flight package and price determined on what you have selected. In this way you can pick the 4 nonstop flights so as not to have to stop in the east coast and not to stop somewhere else in Africa...good luck, hope that this helps.
