Airfare to Egypt?

Hello,
I am getting a quote for $900 approx from Philly to Cairo during the last week of March 2007, by Lufthansa. Just wanted to know if this is a good deal or I need to wait for some more time. Thanks in advance.

Last January BA was quoting about $1200 plus tax & fees, etc. I think.

If you came to JFK Egypt Air, accident free since 1975-76 has a non0stop (9 hrs.) for $850 plus tax I think . we plan to take it in April, after the dust storms that sometimes kick-up in Feb-March and the temps in most places are 5 degrees on the average warmer. you might want to consider both points.

$900 is an excellent fare. Stan's price is $850 from JFK for a few weeks after your planned trip.

Grab it.

Actually EgyptAir had an accident on Halloween in 2000. Flight 900 crashed off the coast of Massachusetts killing all 200+ on board. Some reports indicate the co-pilot deliberately crashed the plane.

Thanks a lot to everyone for their response. Based on the responses below, should I prepone/postpone the visit because of the dust storms? Or they just pass by and it is manageable? Thanks a lot for all your help.

producerkoof--The NTSB investigated this accident and based on thier final report, the plane was indeed taken down on purpose. I know this because I read this report, as well as the transcripts from the black box, and there's no doubt it was intentional.

There's been another inquiry during December on traveling in Egypt during the Khamaseen.
