air service between Masai Mara/NBO/JRO

Is it feasible to fly from the Masai Mara to Nairobi, then to fly to Arusha in time to drive to Tarangire? Do the flights from the Mara and the ones to Arush arrive and depart from the same airport in Nairobi or will I have to change airports? If I have to do that, how much time does it take to get from one to the other? Are there published timetables for these routes and how many airlines serve them? Thanks for the info--

Yes!

Early flight departs from one of the Mara airstrips around 11am and gets in at Wilson airport about 12:15pm.

You then get the 12:45pm flight from Wilson to JRO in a nice 12-seater which arrives at 13:35pm (these are approximate times).

Note: these flights will wait on each other if there are minor delays.

From JRO to Arusha takes about 90 minutes (including the time to clear customs, etc).

From Arusha to Tarangire is only 2.5 hours.

Eben - right on! Perfect.

billmarie - the distance from Arusha is approximately 90-miles on blacktop most the entire way, and in pretty good condition - an easy trip compared to some others in Kenya/Tanzania.

Flying from Mara to NBO and onto JRO is often used by travelers - time efficient and even cost effective versus doing it by road - you really wouldn't want to, though it is doable. Fly and enjoy.
