Age limitations?

Good day all. I am in the first small steps to planning a journey for myself and my Mum. Before I dive too far in I thought it prudent to take the temperature of how the trip I want to do will measure up for her. We did a very intensive walking trip to Portugal and Barcelona ~2 years ago and she did a smashing job of going everywhere I was able *she is 73 and good with mobility. Although I don't believe she should be as able now as she was 2 years ago. Are things like Chefchauouen and a camel trek to a desert camp doomed to be too much?

Thanks in advance.

Morocco is a place well prepared for visitors of all ages. I've been there a number of times, am the same age as your mum and wouldn't hesitate returning. There is the question of personal fitness, especially as we get older, but your mention of the previous trip leads me to think it's a non-issue. I'm sure your mum would agree, though I don't recommend bringing it up. Go, have fun (she will, I know).

Well, the camel does the work, not the rider. You might ask her how she feels about the camp, though.

Age is not the issue. Physical health is.

Cant speak to Morocco specifically but it sounds like you Mom will do fine.

I am a senior, not quite as old as your Mom. Overall I am in good physical condition. I am debating on a camel trek and am interested to hear how others felt physically on it? I have some back issues and worry it will be too much for me.

I find riding camels, which I have done in China, Morocco and Jordan, uncomfortable and skipped it the last time it was available. However, I don't think it should affect your back.

Age does not matter, the main thing is physical health.
