My husband and I are planning our trip to Kenya and Rwanda and are considering using African Adventure Company. I would like to here people's experiences with the booking process and thier happiness with the actual safaris and gorilla trekking using this company.

Do a 'search' on this board as this company is known to quite a few travelers. Their prices though might be a bit higher though than if using an 'in-country' outfitter.

Hi, I was in Kenya last year in December and continued to Kampala, then to Mbarara and back to Nairobi. This was my lifetime experience. I had just left Netherlands Saturday 7th. We booked for Safari with Rightchoice Safaris, www.rightchoicesafaris.net where they recommended the 10 Day Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli Itinerary. We exploited all kinds of nature, animals.. Ohhh My God! I cant believe spending time in modern camp with electricity, hot shower in Africa. We then continued to Uganda through Entebe Airport, they also did for us Air ticketing to Entebe and arranged airport transfers to Kampala and to Mbarara. We had to hike the mount Rwenzori in the western part of Uganda. This time we had to take six days and return on the 23 rd to prepare for Christmass, Canivore restaurant had organized an exclusive dinner for us. Among all I remember are the white Rhino in Nakuru, Lion, Kenyans call it 'Simba' and a lot of Flamingos, wildebeests. Enjoy your tour in Kenya.

We have friends who used Africa Adventure - 2 different couples on separate occasions and they each had wonderful experiences. We are now using them for a trip for 5 couples, planned for March, and I simply cannot say enough good things. To date, they have accommodating, responsive and attentive. I also find Wendy Perrin's advice (Condé Nast Travel) to be reliable & she rated them among the top for Africa travel. You can google that list.

I used Africa Adventure Company for a trip to Botswana and Zimbabwe in 2011. If you click on my user name you can find my trip report. I was very happy with everything and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. More recently I went to Kenya and Rwanda through a different TO - also a very good trip. There is a separate trip report on that one if you click on my user name.
