aerosvit airlines
My daughter is taking a Birthright trip to Israel and they are flying on aerosvit airline with one stop in Kiev then on to Ben Gurion airport. I have never heard of this airline. Any comments on safety, hospitality, or the rest? She is a very nervous flyer.

reviews not great lots of delays cancellations insuremytrip.com might be wise... or better select one of many better carriers to Israel. Good luck! |
since your daughter is going on Birthright, the entire group will be traveling together - so you don't have to worry about any of the usual concerns of traveling on your own.
Issues such as delays, missed connections, etc will be handled by the trip organizers. I haven't flown Aerosvit but a friend who is a travel agent says they do a lot of business between Israel and Russia - mostly because of their attractive pricing. |
Thanks - still have my concerns, though!

Aerosvit has regularly scheduled flights to the U.S. and to the EU. That means that they have to adhere to a relatively strict set of safety guidelines and practices. So, while they might be less convenient or punctual than other airlines, their aircraft are not likely to strike a glancing blow to hills or trees.
