Advice For Morocco Desert Tours and camel trekking For 4 Night

I'm traveling to Merzouga in late December , and i'm really interested in riding a camel into the erg chebbi sand dunes for one or 4 nights in nomad tents and trekking and walking in Desert, after looking on g i found in Google this link with itinerary for 'Merzouga camel ride and nights in desert: http://www.merzouga-excursions.com/i...ga-camel-trek/ and i contact them and they offer a good price

But i have a few quetsions:

- someone has use this company

- Becouse i'm going to spend the night in desert, is a room really needed To leave my luggage ?

- is cold in Decembre ? how many litres of water we will need did i need some sleepin bag even they said that have enagh blanket ?


- It is possible to sleap outside or is very cold ? dangerous ?

Haven't used that company. Yes, it's cold at night in December, I chose to sleep in a hotel, not a tent. Check at Weather Underground for historical weather info.

I don't know this company, so can't help you there. You should expect it to be cold (if nighttime temperatures between +2C and +8C or so are cold to you.) It's entirely possible to sleep outdoors. (Lots of people go winter camping, you know!) But you can still be comfortable if you take layers of clothes that you can put on or take off to stay comfortable. I'm sure they'll give you enough blankets to stay warm, or they would never have people stay! But consider taking a wool hat or an ear band to keep your head warm while you sleep. It's definitely not dangerous to stay in the tents at night. Most people bring too much luggage, so you need a place to store it while you go in to the desert camp. You only take in what you need for the one night (I recommend a back pack) because you are carrying it in with you on your camel. (Can't take your big suitcases on the camel!) You just need enough water to get you through the night, but check with the company you go with (this one, or any other) to see what they supply, or what will be at the camp for you. Some are pretty basic, and others are quite luxurious. Have fun!
