ACADEMY AWARD STORY-JEWS IN AFRICA

There is a wonderful film, NOWHERE IN AFRICA-the saga of a Jewish family from Nazi Germany trying to adapt to a new home in the British colony of Kenya. Nowhere in Africa was the winner for best foreign movie-adapted from Stefanie Zweig's autobiographical novel. Caroline Link paints a picture of a harsh, beautiful land of savannah, rolling hills, primitive native villages, extraordinary wildlife & incredible sunsets!!! Go on this site:

I loved it to. I really enjoyed how seamlessly the individuals switched between German, English and Swahili (or was it Kukuyu?)

It was great!
