Hmmm...$350 for Abu Simbel?
I'm finding options to Abu Simbel from Aswan, via the Egyptian tour companies online, for between $25 and $75 per person. The company I am most impressed with overall for price and responsiveness to my e-mails is Cinderella Egypt...weird name, I know, but they have been very flexible in changing our itinerary as requested, adding days and tours, etc. For instance, we want to visit Abydos Fayoum, as well as Dahshur, so they have arranged that for us, along with hot air balloon....I've never been in one, mom has in several places around the world. So, there you have it. Search for Egyptian tour companies. Trust me, there's numerous companies, and generally quite reasonable. I only wish someone on the boards here had some personal experience with Cinderella as a little heads up as to what to expect. Zen- |
My gut feeling is that if there is someone at the Cinderella office here that is actually listening to, and reacting to, what you really want, that is a good sign.
The average Egyptian company, (and it is the very average ones that people tend to have any problems with) cannot think out of the box for the most part. So, if you have someone that is doing that, I think you are on the road to a more than likely successful holiday. At the very least, their response and willingness to listen to what you want and make changes is a good sign. Good luck. |
Thanks Casual Cairo.
I kinda thought that was a pretty good sign. We've basically turned their basic 13 day trip into a custom tour, with none of the days being the same except days 1 and 2, ending the trip with the ferry from Nuweiba to Aqaba. |
