A tale of two airports - Namibia

Travelling to Namib on the 17 December for 2 and a bit weeks. I managed to get a direct flight as direct flights can be, to Jo'burg then on to Namibia International Airport.

But there's the funny thing. I now understand that there are 2 airports. One on the fringes of Windhoek and one about 47 km away!! Can anyone advise which one is which? And if it is the one kilometres away, how do I get into Windhoek proper via public transport or some less than exorbitant transfer to my hotel[Safari Hotel].

Eros Airoport in in the city, but is a small one. The Windhoek International Airoport is 47 km away. I think you donīt have public transports, but you can go by Taxi - about 30 usd each (2) or 50 usd one person.
Safari Hotel is not far from Eros airoport.
But usually international flighs arrive in Whindoek International Airoport.

Cheers Fil.

Very helpful. I shall orientate my way to Safari Hotel from the international airport. By the way, how recently did you go?

I live in Angola.
I visit Namibia 3 times.
Last time was in January 05.

In windhoek I stay in Whindhoek Country Club.
Both Windhoek Country Club and Safari Hotel are out of the city centre.
