Advance check-in, flight to Israel
10 months ago a Continental check-in clerk explained, once I've swiped my passport at the airport, I will be able to check-in on-line.
This morning I got an e-mail for 24 hrs international check-in. I tried to do it 23 hrs before the first leg, but got a message "can't do".
Is this strange? I didn't even get to the page asking if I'd have luggage or not! Only the infant in lap - at my age!!
The same passport valid till December 2007, flying for 2 weeks in March 2006. Seats assigned.
Maybe because I'm flying to Israel, is there some special security concern?

Hmm. I'm curious now though! Flying to Israel, or rather, trying to get on the flight to Israel, was the most frustrating flying experiences of my life, so perhaps it does have something to do w/your destination.

I just got a reply on the airline forum - the same on American, they don't allow on-line check-in for international travels. What a relief
One worry less, you think Maybe. Maybe not?
