9 hours in Abu Dhabi
 

Some days I think I have won the lottery. On Friday, May 20, I arrive at Abu Dhabi airport just before noon. My connecting flight leaves just before 9:30 pm on the same day. That gives me a number of hours that I hope to use to visit the city and explore just a little bit. I have never been to Abu Dhabi before and am asking for suggestions. I am an active, retired educator and will be travelling alone on this trip.

Any suggestions or cautions that you might have would be appreciated.
