3 days for the Desert, enough time?

I'm trying to plan a trip to Egypt. I'll be taking a tour but it won't go into the Western Desert. I can add up to 3 days after my tour without affecting my work schedule.

Is this doable? Bahariyya seems close enough to Cairo. Are there any reputable companies/guides that could do a private tour for me, a solo female? I doubt I'll be able to find anyone to go with me.

I have read good things about this company:
www.desertecotours.com
wanted to use them, but we won't have time.

Thanks Momliz, but their Western Desert tours are 8, 11 or 15 days. Their 1 and 2-day tours are for the Sinai, where my tour will be going.

I've bookmarked them for the future though, they have some interesting tours!

try magdi hanna. He does custom trips that range in length from one night to a couple weeks. He's taken me on two 5 day desert trips. You can run his name & should be able to find a couple of my comments. Use my name (Carolyn)He's at: [email protected]

Please note that I no longer recommend Magdi Hanna as a desert guide.

After I posted this a number of people wanted to know why. Here it is.

Since my first recommendation, Mr. Hanna & I became friendly. I know I disclosed that on recent recommendations. Something happened recently which caused me to reconsider that friendliness and I no longer wish to have my name associated with his. That's all.
