Rocco and Other Fodorites as Movie Stars?

I also post on the Taga Safaris forum, and I just received this email from Mark at Taga, and thought some of you might want to see Rocco and others on safari.

Hi Folks
I will be going up to Simbambili tomorrow morning with Rocco, Cindymac and Sugarhill from the
Fodors Chat Forum. I will be filming the safari and each day I will be posting the video up on my
website. It can be seen at the following URL
http://www.tagasafaris.co.za/african...est-events.htm
The first posting will be up at around mid-day African time on the 17th Sep.
Enjoy

good one leely. LOL at the very thought.
BTW, I had not looked at the 13 months site before--it is stunning BUT made me feel kind of down about my upcoming trip--seeems paltry in comparison.

bat,
re: 13months. Yeah, and if you read it, they say "We are definitely not rich." And I thought, "Then how...?"

I am going to try to remember to watch Rocco and Alexandra's bigscreen (sort of) debut.

oh shoot. I'm off on a trip through the Pacific Northwest tomorrow (In and out of Seattle, but we'll be in Oregon mostly). Much easier to pack for, not quite so expensive, but we'll be meeting up with a couple groups of friends along the way which will be lots of fun. And of course yet another wine country to add to our list.

Roccco's trip report should be up by the time I get back. 'til then it's over and out for me! >-

It looks like the video are posted, but I'm not able to get them to play from this computer, so I'll try later. If anyone is successful at playing the video, please let me know. Thanks, Michael

The video is working now, though no shots of Rocco...many camera clicks though so it must be him!

Tried 20 minutes ago, couldn't see it, tried just now and finally could!

Lovely, wonderfully close sighting - what a beautiful leopard indeed!

The video is up -- what great leopard sightings. I'm sure Rocco got great photos -- they were very close. I'm going to watch out for further installments.

Wow, the second installment is incredible, with large male elephant with great tusks, lions at night, rhino and amazing leopard photos.

Plus, group photo at end, but I don't know who's who.

Haven't watched 3rd video, yet, but will later today.

Well, the Fodorites are all over the third video, and Rocco, I believe, is the easiest to spot since I think he's the guest in the bright green shirt (plus carrying a camera with enormous lens)!

That third movie was amazing and I was cussing with jealousy when the leopard went to the water to drink and was reflected into the water... WOW

All wonderful!

Rocco - big lense! I thought it was an Asian tourist for a moment. But no, it's our Roccccccoooo!

I also had trouble the first few times I tried to "play" the videos... it just takes a few moments to load (even with high-speed)...

Correct, I am the green blob with the big lens!

One thing is certain...I need to start spending more time walking my dogs and less time in front of the computer!

I was starting to write all about Simbambili, but instead I will start my trip report with that information. It will more than likely not be some twenty page long report, but please feel free to ask about anything that is not clear. I would much rather focus my attention on my photo album and I will get out my photos fairly quickly, rather than trying to perfect them on Photoshop Elements.

There were some dumb mistakes I made as a photographer, but this was one big learning experience. I do think, however, that I was also able to capture some amazing images, but ultimately I will allow you all to be the judges.
